Meet Lauren Services, a Canadian engineering procurement construction management (EPCM) firm. Lauren Services works with oil and gas companies, utility providers, upland ports, renewable energy, and mining. The firm provides a full range of project services, from concept, detailed design, procurement to construction and managing its builds. In 2017 Lauren Services split from its American partner and now has offices in Calgary, Vancouver, and Edmonton. Due to its growth, Lauren needed its own set of IT solutions.
Organizational change isn’t easy, particularly when a company needs to find new software solutions to replace the old ones. The Lauren Services team needed an affordable, scalable, and customizable CRM to support project bidding and planning. It also needed to be mobile friendly with strong reporting capabilities and Outlook integration to give the firm the tools they need to thrive.
With some research, Lauren Services found that many solutions were not right for them. As a small but growing business, it was difficult to get the CRM platform providers to offer inexpensive solutions that could be implemented fast and adapted as needed to meet their requirements.
Lauren Services continued looking for an option that was the right fit and discovered iGlobe CRM in the Microsoft AppSource. Its leaders engaged Eureka iTech, iGlobe’s Gold partner in Western Canada, to help with the migration and roll-out.
To an engineering firm, bidding on projects, measuring, evaluating, and reporting on successes is key. Lauren Services needed to track and analyze sales opportunity information through many stages. This information would fuel an understanding of the effectiveness of the firm’s proposals.
Keeping its corporate information secure was a high priority for Lauren Services.
With so many risks involving data breaches, the company wanted to ensure that information about clients and projects remained safeguarded within its own Office 365 SharePoint environment. Lauren Services also recognized iGlobe CRM as one of the few SharePoint apps that passed the security scrutiny of the Microsoft certification process.
Deployment of the iGlobe CRM app is done by following the standard implementation procedures in SharePoint Online. Lauren Services was able to capture information with ease by extending the CRM via custom fields and views using existing SharePoint functionality. Since iGlobe CRM comes with an add-in for Outlook, employees can add contacts, file emails, and add new bids without needing to leave the Outlook client. The team gets the same great iGlobe CRM functionality in the desktop, mobile, and web versions of Outlook.
Things have changed for the better for Lauren Services. Employees now use the benefits of iGlobe CRM and are seeing measurable benefits. With the help of Eureka iTech, data from the firm’s old systems were imported into iGlobe CRM. Eureka iTech also added customized reports to give managers and salespeople the visibility they need to monitor their sales pipeline.
Change is easier when a company has the right resources to solve its business problems. For Lauren Services, those resources include a partnership with Eureka iTech and a CRM that meets its demands and can scale for future growth.
Upper management can rely on the iGlobe CRM sales reports. Since the CRM runs on the Microsoft 365 platform, simple analysis can be done quickly with Excel. Valuable insights are just a click away with Power BI, and even more powerful analytical tools are available with Microsoft AI tools. Microsoft’s Power Automate can be used to automatically integrate iGlobe CRM with Lauren Services’ other internal systems to achieve even higher value. iGlobe CRM has become a reliable, economical, and user-friendly tool that the staff have now fully adopted.
- Centralize all incoming bids and manage the sales pipeline in one repository.
- Store data within its own tenant using existing IT security protocols.
- Customize forms, fields, and reports to meet requirements.
